SPECIAL EVENTS COORDINATOR FOR CARE RING

 

Job Summary: As a member of the development team, the Special Events Coordinator is

responsible for all aspects of fundraising, donor recognition and promotional events for Care

Ring. The Special Events Coordinator will work with team members and volunteers to ensure

that each event is high-functioning and consistent with our brand.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Manage all aspects of Care Ring sponsored revenue generating events including:

concept, budget, volunteer enlistment and management, logistic details, records and

reports, media and pr and execution of the events.

 

Utilizes fund raising experience to develop and maintain existing events and develop,

create new events.

 

Plan and implement activities relating to the recruitment, cultivation and recognition of

donors and corporate sponsors

 

Responsible for working with high-level committees of Board members and community

volunteers.

 

Responsible for handling all off-site arrangements for events and managing relationships

with vendors

 

Works closely with Assistant Director of Development to ensure all event contributions

and pledges are handled, coded and acknowledged in a timely and accurate manner

 

Expands agency exposure by developing and planning promotional calendar

 

Participate as a member of the development team supporting the organization's vision

for growth

 

Able to work additional work hours to participate in meetings and events

 

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

 

Bachelor's degree required with three to five years of directly related work experience

and a proven record of success preferred.

Preferred Skills

 

Exemplary written/verbal communication skills are required, as is a good sense of humor

and exceptional responsiveness, both by phone and email.

 

Good organizational skills and attention to detail are a must.
